Shabbat Word

19/10/2019

Shabbat Shalom!

Psalm 146:1-10

146:1) Praise Yahuah! Praise Yahuah, my soul.

146:2) While I live, I will praise Yahuah.

I will sing praises to my `Elohiym as long as I exist.

146:3) Do not put your trust in princes,

Each a son of man in whom there is no help.

146:4) His spirit departs, and he returns to the earth.

In that very day, his thoughts perish.

146:5) Happy is he who has the `El of Ya`akov for his help,

Whose hope is in Yahuah, his `Elohiym:

146:6) Who made heaven and earth,

The sea, and all that is in them;

Who keeps truth forever;

146:7) Who executes justice for the oppressed;

Who gives food to the hungry.

Yahuah frees the prisoners.

146:8) Yahuah opens the eyes of the blind.

Yahuah raises up those who are bowed down.

Yahuah loves the righteous.

146:9) Yahuah preserves the foreigners.

He upholds the fatherless and widow,

But the way of the wicked He turns upside down.

146:10) Yahuah will reign forever;

Your `Elohiym, O Tziyon, to all generations.

Praise Yahuah!

A Word

Brand HaSatan: A Public Relations Coup (Part 1)

For the next few weeks, there will be a change in format for the Word.

The following is an imaginary story taking place very early in the history of mankind. It is the first meeting between haSatan and a public relations consultant, Spindoc.

At the offices of D. Mon Inc. HaSatan meets the top PR guru, Spindoc.

Spindoc: Please come in and sit down. How may I help you?

HaSatan: I am having some difficulty in developing my brand.

Spindoc: What exactly is it that you do?

HaSatan: I am in the business of worship. I want to be worshiped as the one and only god.

Spindoc: OK. Let us start from the beginning. What is your name?

HaSatan: In my last job, I was called Heylel which in Creation Language means shine or glory.

Spindoc: That is no good at all, is it? You see, in Creation Language, it can have the opposite meaning so this makes you boast, rave, mad and foolish. No we will have to do better than that. I know, some time in the future, Creation Language is going to be hidden and superseded by many other languages. Let me look….Yes, this sounds right. The language that will be known as Latin will be used extensively in worship. The shining one is Lucifer. It is more or less the same meaning without the negative ideas.

HaSatan: Ummm, Lucifer, I like that. I have never had a name. I have plenty of titles; devil, accuser, tempter, ba`al or lord, troubler but my favourite is still haSatan – adversary. The Most High has a name and many titles. I want to be like Him.

Spindoc: Yes, Lucifer is a fine name but do not get used to it. The Most High’s name is still supreme and is the name that will be worshipped. What we need is to develop a whole mass of names for false gods so that Simple Man cannot distinguish the Most High’s name from all the others. Better still, if we can make His name unspeakable, Simple Man will forget what it is or so afraid to speak it they will make up more names or use some of His titles. That way, we can mix up some of your titles with His so Simple Man begins to worship the title and not the being. That being so, I think that god is such a neutral title, that it may be the one to catch on.

HaSatan: I see what you mean. If we can trick Simple Man in to believing this is the name of the Most High at the same time in obscuring His real name, I stand a chance.

Beloved, the above is only a story, but I do believe that there may be some truth behind it. How do you address the Most High? Is it by His name or are you to afraid to utter it? Or maybe you prefer to use His title of God?

If you do not know, maybe it is because you do not have an intimate relationship with Him? This can only come about when become a child of His through salvation.

Halleluyah

Father, we thank you for the power of your Word and that Word was made flesh in Messiah Yahusha so that in believing in His Life, Death and Resurrection we may have eternal life with you.

Ameyn.

Father, we thank you for the power of your Word and that Word was made flesh in Messiah Yahusha so that in believing in His Life, Death and Resurrection we may have eternal life with you.

If you want to accept Father’s offer of salvation through Messiah Yahusha, you need to ask Him in prayer along these lines. Use your own words but they must be genuine as Father knows our very hearts and nothing is hidden from Him.

Father, I am a sinner who needs forgiveness through your Son, Messiah Yahusha. Please forgive me of all my past sins as I accept that, Messiah Yahusha my Saviour, has taken upon Himself my punishment. By your Spirit, help me to live a life worthy of His sacrifice. Thank you, Father, for making this way back to you.”

Ameyn

Remember, the Judge looks into your heart, mind and future.

In other words, when you say a Believer’s prayer you had better mean it.

If you have honestly said such a prayer as this, and truly renounced the sin in your life and accepted Father’s salvation through Messiah Yahusha, then please drop us an e-mail at FGA to let us know. This not only builds up our faith, it offers an opportunity to prayfully support you. Even if you have Believing friends or family, we at FGA would be privileged to pray for you. Please contact us at ezra710@firstgenerationassembly.com. Having believed and prayed, now please find a local faith-based church to attend. Drop FGA an e-mail so that we can rejoice with you and pray and support you over the coming weeks.

If you have sincerely called out to Father for forgiveness, then eternal life is assured. No more question marks on your eternal life, only a full stop. Salvation does not take away the day-to-day questions of life, nor is it a short-cut away from trials or tribulations. Nevertheless, knowing your eternal life is secure, any temporary trial can be overcome by looking at the completed work of Messiah Yahusha.

All blessings to you.

“A friend loves at all times;

And a brother is born for adversity.” (Prov. 13:3).

Breaking Matzah

Our Saviour welcomes all His Family to join in this memorial. If you have accepted Messiah Yahusha as your Master and Saviour please take the next few moments to seek Father and to ensure that all is right between Him and you and between you and your Brothers and Sisters. If not, please put this right before continuing.

If you have not yet accepted Him into your life, then we encourage you to seek Him while it is still possible, as time is running out. When He returns or if you pass away then it will be too late. Please do not partake of the matzah and wine as in doing so, it gives thanks for the broken body (matzah) and shed blood (wine) for and a witness of salvation.

On the night of the Master’s betrayal, He took the matzah, blessed it and broke it saying ‘This is my Body broken for you; take and eat it as a memorial to Me.’

Bless the matzah saying: Blessed are you, O Yahuah our `Elohiym, King of the Universe, who brings forth matzah from the earth.

Break and eat the matzah (sharing it if within a group setting):

After the meal He took the Cup, blessed it saying ‘This is my Blood poured out for you for the remission of sins; take and drink it as a memorial to me.’

Bless the wine saying: Blessed are you, O Yahuah our `Elohiym, King of the Universe, who creates the fruit of the vine.

Drink the wine (sharing it if within a group setting):

Thanksgiving prayer: Blessed are you, O Yahuah our `Elohiym, King of the universe, who gives us, in Yahusha, all that we will ever need. In your lovingkindness and mercy, you rebuild broken lives. You bless us, in Yahusha, with a perfect blessing. Ameyn.
