Shabbat Shalom!
Psalm 147:1-10
147:1) Praise Yah,
For it is good to sing praises to our `Elohiym;
For it is pleasant and fitting to praise Him.
147:2) Yahuah builds up Yerushalayim.
He gathers together the outcasts of Yisra’el.
147:3) He heals the broken in heart,
And binds up their wounds.
147:4) He counts the number of the stars.
He calls them all by their names.
147:5) Great is Adonai, and mighty in power.
His understanding is infinite.
147:6) Yahuah upholds the humble.
He brings the wicked down to the ground.
147:7) Sing to Yahuah with thanksgiving.
Sing praises on the harp to our `Elohiym,
147:8) Who covers the sky with clouds,
Who prepares rain for the earth,
Who makes grass grow on the mountains.
147:9) He provides food for the cattle,
And for the young ravens when they call.
147:10) He does not delight in the strength of the horse.
He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man. (contd.
A Word
Brand HaSatan: A Public Relations Coup (Part 2)
For the next few weeks, there will be a change in format for A Word.
The following is an imaginary story taking place very early in the history of mankind. It is the second meeting between haSatan and a public relations demon.
Spindoc: Please come in and sit down. Today, I want to help sought out a suitable image for you. How do you want to be considered?
HaSatan: I want to be as the Most High; to be loved and to be feared.
Spindoc: That may be beyond even my doing. He is loved because of who and what He is. He is the King of the Universe and Creator and all of His Creation love him.
HaSatan: Not everything!
Spindoc: Especially Simple Man who, as you know, was formed with His hands and received His Breath and not spoken into existence as we were. Almighty is feared by all as He alone has the authority over life and death.
HaSatan: I know Simple Man is aware of what death is but I do not think he fully appreciates his position with the Most High. Now that Simple Man has fallen into my trap called sin, then we must make the most of this opportunity.
Spindoc: That is good, as Simple Man was formed to worship. Now if we can only keep Simple Man separated from Almighty, there is a strong possibility of Simple Man changing his allegiance from Almighty to….say you!
HaSatan: My plan can only separate them for a short time as Almighty has put in place a means of bringing Simple Man back to Him, so we must devise a strategy to keep them apart.
Spindoc: As it stands, Simple Man has only one choice between Almighty and you. If we give many alternatives, let us call them religions, some with massive differences and some with subtle variations; some with multiple gods, some with none at all then it will be harder for Simple Man to choose. Of course, all these gods will be your minions and under your authority, so that when Simple Man gets totally
HaSatan: I will make sin more attractive to Simple Man and if these religions promote, or at least do not condemn sin, Simple Man will want to go to these rather than the harsh, sinless regime of Almighty.
Spindoc: Good. Now what about your own image? How do you see yourself?
HaSatan: I want to be as the Most High.
Spindoc: Now there is our first major problem. Simple Man will always refer to Almighty as He and Him so we need to have a strategy to be known as a person and not as a thing.
HaSatan: What if….What if we have all Creation Language scrolls translated into other languages? We can have slight differences in each one so that we have a translation of a translation of a translation.
Spindoc: And what if we have the scrolls not translated word for word, but by differing ideas of what the scrolls seem to say?
HaSatan: Yes, that might just work.
Beloved, the above is only a story, but I do believe that there may be some truth behind it.
How do you think of haSatan and its demons? Are they created beings or are they people?
More importantly, how do you address the Most High? Is it by His name or are you to afraid to utter it? Or maybe you prefer to use His title of God?
If you do not know, maybe it is because you do not have an intimate relationship with Him? This can only come about when you become a child of His through salvation.
If you want to accept Father’s offer of salvation through Messiah Yahshua, you need to ask Him in prayer along these lines. Use your own words but they must be genuine as Father knows our very hearts and nothing is hidden from Him.
“Father, I am a sinner who needs forgiveness through your Son, Messiah Yahshua. Please forgive me of all my past sins as I accept that, Messiah Yahshua my Saviour, has taken upon Himself my punishment. By your Spirit, help me to live a life worthy of His sacrifice. Thank you, Father, for making this way back to you.”
Halleluyah
Father, we thank you for the power of your Word and that Word was made flesh in Messiah Yahusha so that in believing in His Life, Death and Resurrection we may have eternal life with you.
If you want to accept Father’s offer of salvation through Messiah Yahusha, you need to ask Him in prayer along these lines. Use your own words but they must be genuine as Father knows our very hearts and nothing is hidden from Him.

Remember, the Judge looks into your heart, mind and future.
In other words, when you say a Believer’s prayer you had better mean it.
If you have honestly said such a prayer as this, and truly renounced the sin in your life and accepted Father’s salvation through Messiah Yahusha, then please drop us an e-mail at FGA to let us know. This not only builds up our faith, it offers an opportunity to prayfully support you. Even if you have Believing friends or family, we at FGA would be privileged to pray for you. Please contact us at ezra710@firstgenerationassembly.com. Having believed and prayed, now please find a local faith-based church to attend. Drop FGA an e-mail so that we can rejoice with you and pray and support you over the coming weeks.
If you have sincerely called out to Father for forgiveness, then eternal life is assured. No more question marks on your eternal life, only a full stop. Salvation does not take away the day-to-day questions of life, nor is it a short-cut away from trials or tribulations. Nevertheless, knowing your eternal life is secure, any temporary trial can be overcome by looking at the completed work of Messiah Yahusha.
All blessings to you.
“The proud and haughty man, ‘scoffer’ is his name;
He works in the arrogance of pride.” (Prov. 21:24)
Breaking Matzah
Our Saviour welcomes all His Family to join in this memorial. If you have accepted Messiah Yahusha as your Master and Saviour please take the next few moments to seek Father and to ensure that all is right between Him and you and between you and your Brothers and Sisters. If not, please put this right before continuing.
If you have not yet accepted Him into your life, then we encourage you to seek Him while it is still possible, as time is running out. When He returns or if you pass away then it will be too late. Please do not partake of the matzah and wine as in doing so, it gives thanks for the broken body (matzah) and shed blood (wine) for and a witness of salvation.
On the night of the Master’s betrayal, He took the matzah, blessed it and broke it saying ‘This is my Body broken for you; take and eat it as a memorial to Me.’
Bless the matzah saying: Blessed are you, O Yahuah our `Elohiym, King of the Universe, who brings forth matzah from the earth.
Break and eat the matzah (sharing it if within a group setting):
After the meal He took the Cup, blessed it saying ‘This is my Blood poured out for you for the remission of sins; take and drink it as a memorial to me.’
Bless the wine saying: Blessed are you, O Yahuah our `Elohiym, King of the Universe, who creates the fruit of the vine.
Drink the wine (sharing it if within a group setting):
Thanksgiving prayer: Blessed are you, O Yahuah our `Elohiym, King of the universe, who gives us, in Yahusha, all that we will ever need. In your lovingkindness and mercy, you rebuild broken lives. You bless us, in Yahusha, with a perfect blessing. Ameyn.
