Shabbat Word

Shabbat Shalom!
Covid-19 continues to ravage the world. Every night, I pray this Psalm for the continued well-being, security and prosperity of Yahuah’s people, Yisra`el, His land, Yisra`el, His set apart city Yerushalayim and my family spiritual and physical.
Psalm 91:1-16
91:1) He who dwells in the secret place of Ha`Elyon,
Will rest in the shadow of Shaddai.
91:2) I will say of Yahuah,
“He is my refuge and my fortress;
My `Elohiym, in whom I trust.”
91:3) For He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler,
And from the deadly pestilence.
91:4) He will cover you with His feathers.
Under His wings you will take refuge.
His faithfulness is your shield and rampart.
91:5) You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day;
91:6) Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday.
91:7) A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it will not come near you.
91:8) You will only look with your eyes,
And see the recompense of the wicked.
91:9) Because you have made Yahuah your refuge,
And Ha`Elyon your dwelling place,
91:10) No evil shall happen to you,
Neither shall any plague come near your dwelling.
91:11) For He will give His angels charge over you,
To guard you in all your ways.
91:12) They will bear you up in their hands,
So that you will not dash your foot against a stone.
91:13) You will tread on the lion and cobra.
You will trample the young lion and the serpent underfoot.
91:14) “Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him.
I will set him on high, because he has known my name.
91:15) He will call on me, and I will answer him.
I will be with him in trouble.
I will deliver him, and honour him.
91:16) I will satisfy him with long life,
And show him my salvation (yeshu`ah).”
Psalm 21:1-14
21:1) For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.
21:2) The king rejoices in your strength, Yahuah!
How greatly he rejoices in your salvation (yeshu`ah)!
21:3) You have given him his heart’s desire,
And have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah.
21:4) For you meet him with the blessings of goodness;
You set a crown of fine gold on his head.
21:5) He asked life of you, you gave it to him,
Even length of days forever and ever.
21:6) His glory is great in your salvation (yeshu`ah).
You lay honour and majesty on him.
21:7) For you make him most blessed forever.
You make him glad with joy in your presence.
21:8) For the king trusts in Yahuah.
Through the lovingkindness of Ha`Elyon, he shall not be moved.
21:9) Your hand will find out all of your enemies.
Your right hand will find out those who hate you.
21:10) You will make them as a fiery furnace in the time of your anger.
Yahuah will swallow them up in His wrath.
The fire shall devour them.
21:11) You will destroy their descendants from the earth,
Their posterity from among the children of men.
21:12) For they intended evil against you.
They plotted evil against you which cannot succeed.
21:13) For you will make them turn their back,
When you aim drawn bows at their face.
21:14) Be exalted, Yahuah, in your strength,
So we will sing and praise your power.
A Word
Brand HaSatan: A Public Relations Coup (Part 5)
The following is an imaginary story taking place on the day after Messiah was taken back up to Heaven. It is the fifth meeting between haSatan and a public relations demon.
In a previous ‘meeting’ HaSatan wanted Simple Man to believe that it was, as Yahuah `Elohiym, all-knowing. Although in previous episodes it has been recorded that HaSatan and its demon have knowledge of future events, this has only been done for the sake of the story. It is the belief at FGA that demons, including the chief of demons, HaSatan, do not have any prophetic ability. This is a gift of the Ruach HaKodesh. However, they are capable of manipulating events so that it appears that what they say is a truly prophetic word. They are certainly capable of reading Scripture and drawing knowledge from Yahuah’s prophets, but of themselves have no such ability. In fact, the least mature Believer has a greater ability to understand Scripture as demons because they have the Ruach HaKodesh leading them.
HaSatan: I have lost everything. Everything I tell you!
Spindoc: What has happened? I thought everything went well over Pesach.
HaSatan: That is what I thought. Everything went according to plan. Unfortunately, it was not my plan but that of Almighty. Oh yes, I knew that that Yeshua was His Son, the Suffering Servant of His. I was delighted when my agents had Him arrested and beaten to a pulp. Yet I expected Almighty to rescue Him from the Tree in a great spectacle. If they had just buried Him, I could have worked it to my advantage, but not now. Not after Almighty has brought Him back to life.
Spindoc: What we now need to do is to confuse Simple Man as to what has happened. Say we plant a seed of doubt as to whether He actually died and His followers managed to revive Him. Or that He has died but His followers have taken Him away and secretly buried Him elsewhere.
HaSatan: That cannot be done. Many people have seen Him.
Spindoc: Only His followers. It will be easy to deceive Simple Man.
HaSatan: But Scripture has shown that there must be a resurrection as the Son will return soon as Conquering King.
Spindoc: Not so! What if there were two Messiahs: one that has just gone and another that will come soon?
HaSatan: Noooh!No-one is going to believe that. Two Messiahs?
Spindoc: Well, if you do not think that will work, how about confusing Simple Man as to who or what the Messiah is?
HaSatan: I am not sure I understand.
Spindoc: Well, if we can confuse Simple Man as to when Messiah was born, maybe Simple Man will doubt that He has come. If we can confuse him as to when He died and was resurrected, there will be even more doubt. The more doubt that we can sew, the less likely Simple Man will stake everything upon Him.
HaSatan: You are the expert, what must be done, go ahead and do it.
Spindoc: Remember your last visit, we talked about Santa Claus/St. Nicholas? Well, if we can combine the Messiah’s false birth date with the celebration of some of your demonic false gods; mix these in with traditions that we invent and add Santa Claus and his gifts. Then let Simple Man know that all these are false, then they will come to associate the Messiah with a whole bunch of lies. Then, we need to do the same with His death and resurrection. Lies at the beginning of His life, lies at the end of His life, Simple Man will find it difficult to believe any truth in between.
“You are of your father, the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. It was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in it. When it speaks a lie, it speaks on its own; for it is a liar and the father of it.” (John 8:44).
Beloved, the above is only a story, but it does illustrate how Scripture has been mis-interpreted, modified or just downright falsified. Take a look at these two scenarios and their effect on Judaism and ‘Christianity’.
Judaism cannot come to terms with a single Messiah; crucified, resurrected, exalted and waiting to return to claim His Kingdom.
‘Christianity’ celebrates the birth of Messiah in December. This cannot be supported by Scripture but it does share the date with celebrations for various pagan gods, using pagan symbols and traditions.
‘Christianity’ celebrates the death of Messiah near the beginning of the year. Although this is correct, the actual date is Pesach (Passover) has been perverted and His death now celebrated along with a female pagan god and the day that is called Easter.
Have you been taken in by the lies of ‘Christmas’ and ‘Easter’? Search the Scriptures yourself. Messiah was born at Sukkot (Sept. to Oct.) and was crucified at Pesach (Mar. To Apr.). These are supported by Scripture and are the truth; as is the life in between. Messiah Yeshua was born, lived, was crucified and exalted so that all who believe this can accept His sacrifice, on our behalf. He took away the consequences and punishment for our sins.
He is set to return soon; very soon.
Ameyn.
HalleluYah
Father, we thank you for the power of your Word and that Word was made flesh in the Messiah Yeshua so that in believing in His life, death and resurrection we may have eternal life with you.
If you want to accept Father’s offer of salvation through the Messiah Yeshua, you need to ask Him in prayer along these lines. You may use these or your own words but they must be genuine as Father knows our very hearts and nothing is hidden from Him.
“Father, I am a sinner who needs forgiveness of my sins through your Son, the Messiah Yeshua. Please forgive me of all my past sins as I accept that, Messiah Yeshua my Saviour, has taken upon Himself my punishment. By your Spirit, help me to live a life worthy of His sacrifice. Thank you, Father, for making the perfect way back to you.”
Remember, the Judge looks into your heart, mind and future.
If you have honestly said such a prayer as this, and truly renounced the sin in your life and accepted Father’s salvation through the Messiah Yeshua, then please drop us an e-mail or call us at FGA to let us know. This helps build up our faith and offers an opportunity to prayerfully support you. Even if you have Believing friends or family, we at FGA would be privileged to pray for you. Please contact us at ezra710@firstgenerationassembly.com. Having believed and prayed, now please find a local faith-based church to attend. Drop FGA an e-mail or call us so that we can rejoice with you and pray and support you over the coming weeks.
If you have sincerely called out to Father for forgiveness, then eternal life is assured. Salvation does not take away the day-to-day questions of life, nor is it a short-cut away from trials or tribulations. Nevertheless, knowing your eternal life is secure, any temporary trial can be overcome by looking at the completed work of Messiah Yeshua.
All blessings to you.
“Everyone who is proud in heart is an abomination to Yahuah:
They shall assuredly not be unpunished.
By mercy and truth iniquity is atoned for.
By the fear of Yahuah men depart from evil.” (Prov. 16:5, 6).
Breaking Matzah
Our Saviour welcomes all His Family to join in this memorial. If you have accepted Messiah Yeshua as your Master and Saviour please take the next few moments to seek Father and to ensure that all is right between Him and you and between you and your Brothers and Sisters. If not, please put this right before continuing.
If you have not yet accepted Him into your life, then we encourage you to seek Him while it is still possible, as time is running out. When He returns or if you pass away then it will be too late. Please do not partake of the matzah and wine as in doing so, it gives thanks for the broken body (matzah) and shed blood (wine) for and a witness of salvation.
On the night of the Master’s betrayal, He took the matzah, blessed it and broke it saying ‘This is my Body broken for you; take and eat it as a memorial to Me.’
Bless the matzah saying: Blessed are you, O Yahuah our `Elohiym, King of the Universe, who brings forth matzah from the earth.
Break and eat the matzah (sharing it if within a group setting):
After the meal He took the Cup, blessed it saying ‘This is my Blood poured out for you for the remission of sins; take and drink it as a memorial to me.’
Bless the wine saying: Blessed are you, O Yahuah our `Elohiym, King of the Universe, who creates the fruit of the vine.
Drink the wine (sharing it if within a group setting):
Thanksgiving prayer: Blessed are you, O Yahuah our `Elohiym, King of the universe, who gives us, in Yeshua, all that we will ever need. In your lovingkindness and mercy, you rebuild broken lives. You bless us, in Yeshua, with a perfect blessing. Ameyn.
