Shabbat Shalom!
Psalm 84:1-13
84:1) For the Chief Musician. On the gittit.
A Psalm by the sons of Korach.
84:2) How lovely are your dwellings, Yahua Tsva`ot!
84:3) My soul longs, and even faints for the courts of Yahua.
My heart and my flesh cry out for the living `El.
84:4) Yes, the sparrow has found a home,
And the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young,
Near your altars, Yahua of Hosts, my King, and my `Elohiym.
84:5) Blessed are those who dwell in your house.
They are always praising you. Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai?? Selah
84:6) Blessed are those whose strength is in you;
Who have set their hearts on a pilgrimage.
84:7) Passing through the valley of Weeping, they make it a place of springs.
Yes, the autumn rain covers it with blessings.
84:8) They go from strength to strength.
Everyone of them appears before `Elohiym in Tziyon.
84:9) Yahua, `Elohiym Tzva’ot, hear my prayer.
Listen, `Elohiym of Ya`akov. Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai?? Selah
84:10) Behold, `Elohiym our shield,
Look at the face of your anointed.
84:11) For a day in your courts is better than a thousand.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my `Elohiym,
Than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
84:12) For Yahua `Elohiym is a sun and a shield.
Yahua will give grace and glory.
He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly.
84:13) Yahua Tsva`ot, Blessed is the man who trusts in you.
A Word
Be always at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbours, and let each new year find you a better man.
Looking back on the past year. One thing that it has in common with the previous year is how quickly time has flown by. I have a theory called the ai???Hour-glass Theoryai??i?? relating to the passage of time. Imagine an hour-glass. The two chambers have mostly parallel sides: this corresponds to the ages birth to 40. At the bottom of the parallel sides, the sides slope inwards towards the central orifice: this corresponds to the latter years of life. Now, the physicists tell us that time is relative. Nevertheless, to the man (and woman) on the street like you and I, time can be considered to pass at a constant rate. This corresponds to the sand draining down the parallel sides and the younger years. However, as the sand comes to the sloping part, the sand appears to, but in fact does not, run down faster. Once past 40, time appears to pass much quicker, the older one gets.
Now that we come to the end of another year, we begin to think of new yearai??i??s resolutions. These generally reflect the state one is in; overweight one thinks of joining a slimming or gym club. Unfortunately, it is not long into the new year when the flesh gives up and the resolution fails. Imagine, though, if you could have your own personal trainer/chef, how much easier it would be.
The best possible new yearai??i??s resolution you could make is to renounce your sinful life, ask Yahua Father to forgive you and seek His salvation through Messiah Yahshua, His Son.
ai???If it seem evil to you to serve Yahua, choose you this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amori, in whose land you dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve Yahua.ai??? (Josh. 24:15).
When Joshua called upon the Yisra`elites to decide whom they would worship, he gave them a choice of three:
1)Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai?? The gods of the past that some of their ancestors worshipped in Egypt (and look where that got them – slavery);
2)Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai?? The gods of the land that some of their ancestors worshipped ( and look where that got them ai??i?? plague);
3)Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai?? The `Elohiym of the past, present and future and the `Elohiym of all the earth and heaven ai??i?? Yahua.
They time of decision had come; no more delay or prevarication. The Yisra`elites had to choose THIS DAY i.e. right now.
What will be your choice? Will you carry on serving the gods of yesterday that have only enslaved you in your sinful situation and incapable of helping you?
Will you carry on serving the gods of money, position and power that the nations worship but have only ensnared you into their destruction?
Or will you choose to serve Yahua `Elohiym who has given His only Son, by whom you may escape the clutches of these demons? He has given His Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) to help you make the correct choice. Once made the Ruach is there as your own Personal Trainer, teaching you and leading you in the future to carry on making the right choices. There is no need for this resolution to fail.
You have been blessed to have reached the end of another year; many have passed away since last new year. The blessing is that Yahua Father has extended His grace and mercy to you a little longer.
Can you guarantee being alive this time next year? You cannot even guarantee being alive tomorrow.
There is no guarantee that the offer of salvation will still be available tomorrow. Time is rapidly running out. The sand has all but drained out of the upper glass and there is only a few grains left.
NEVERTHELESS THERE IS TILL ENOUGH TIME LEFT TO SEEK SALVATION: IF YOU CHOOSE THIS DAY.
If you want to acceptAi??Fatherai??i??s offer of salvation through Messiah Yahshua, you need to ask Him in prayer along these lines. Use your own words but they must be genuine asAi??FatherAi??knows our very hearts and nothing is hidden from Him.
ai???Father, I am a sinner who needs forgiveness through your Son, Messiah Yahshua. Please forgive me of all my past sins as I accept that, Messiah Yahshua my Saviour, has taken upon Himself my punishment. By your Spirit, help me to live a life worthy of His sacrifice. Thank you,Ai??Father, for making this way back to you.ai???Ai??
Ameyn.
Father, we thank you for the power of your Word and that Word was made flesh in Messiah Yahshua so that in believing in His Life, Death and Resurrection we may have eternal life with you.
Ameyn.
ai???Joy comes to a man with the reply of his mouth.
How good is a word at the right time!ai??? (Prov.15:23).
Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??Ai??
