What is The First Generation Assembly and why it is needed?
First Generation Assembly
Have you ever wonder what the early post-Resurrection assemblies were like?
I have….many times. This is the rationale behind First Generation Assembly.
We get a glimpse of how things were in the beginning of the Book of Acts on where they met, what they did and how they organised themselves after the Master was taken home to be with Father. They lived originally in Yerushalayim (Jerusalem) and met in complete unity, discussing the Master’s teachings through the Shlicim (Apostles), broke bread together and praised Father (Acts 2:42-47).
After Stephanos was stoned to death (Acts 7:59, 60), Believers were persecuted and spread out away from Yerushalayim. As the Book of Acts developed, with the subsequent issuing of Letters from Rabbi Sha’ul (Paul) and others, there can be seen the outline formed in Yerushalayim being filled in as questions arose on how to live out Torah in a Gentile and hostile world.
Ever wondered why the numbers of early Believers grew exponentially? I have…Could it be that they were totally dependent upon HaRuach (the Set Apart Spirit) and closest to the original teaching of the Master? After nearly two thousand years this teaching has been developed into denominations, creeds and doctrine.
Today, the vast majority of so-called ‘churches’ are run as a business with their ledgers open more than their Bibles. They have relatively large numbers of exclusive members paying for the upkeep of the buildings and paying large wages. They show off their buildings with some pride and look for ever bigger and better premises. In 1 Cor. 12, Sha’ul likens all Believers to one body. When the sperm meets the egg, the embryo increases in size but does not grow indefinitely bigger. At a certain size, the embryo divides in to two parts and so on until maturity. I believe in the meeting in households and as numbers increase then the group some split up and satellite groups develop. This ensures that a group is kept in close contact with the local community and that as the group expands, people within the group are mentored in order to be leaders in their own new group. The Body Universal will never reach full maturity until the Master returns for His people. He is our perfect example and all Believers are called to emulate Him so that as a Body we can approach maturity.
It is my aim for FGA to help these groups with material for discussion of scripture and to bring the reader and the author closer to Yahuah `Elohiym. If, at the end of each study, this is not so, then the study has failed both. However, I cannot do this without your help. All the studies are live documents and I will amend them as and when required as HaRuach leads. Ruach HaKodesh leads perfectly, but I cannot follow perfectly so that sometimes I may get it wrong. We are all on the same journey to discover the truth and know Father better.
These studies are not doctrine, but my opinion, based on over thirty years of continuous study and the leading of HaRuach, so I encourage you to search Scripture for yourself.

It is a common misunderstanding (or deliberate ploy of the enemy) that the media report on the dwindling numbers of ‘Christians’ meeting in the developed world whereas other religions and ideologies are greatly on the increase. This is far from the truth. Yes, I suppose it is accurate in relation to the established denominations as these keep accurate records of the membership for financial reasons. However, the numbers of Believers leaving these established denominations are increasing, but little official records are kept of numbers. When looking at the developing world, there are thousands, if not tens of thousands coming daily into a personal relationship and accepting the salvation of Yahuah through His Son the Messiah Yahshua as Master and Saviour.
There is much on-going debate as to the exact pronunciation of the name of the Most High, YHWH. Through many studies over the years, I have come to the decision the name of the Father is Yahuah (Ya-hoo-ah) and that of the Son is Yahshua (Yar-shoo-a). From this, it can easily be seen that when the name of the Son (Yahshua is mentioned, it contains the name of the Father (Yahuah).
Primacy is given to the revealed covenant Name of יְהֹוָה (YHWH) as Yahuah and the Word hence Yahuah and all Scripture references are highlighted in bold font. Yahuah is used in the notes as the name of the Deity as it was revealed to Moshe (Moses). There are many so called ‘gods’ but only one Yahuah. This is the only name used in the Bible by which the Eternal Self-existing One has commanded us to call Him. However, there are various pronunciations but no clear definitive conclusion. Therefore Yahuah is used throughout. All other references (El, `Elohiym, El Shaddai, LORD etc.) are all titles and refer to what Yahuah is capable of doing or of His character. However, these are not set apart on to Him alone but can be used of people and false deities. Therefore, I believe that it is of vital importance to proclaim His Name as He commands (Deut. 28:58-62).
The references to ‘Jesus, Christ, God, Lord, LORD and that of the Books of the Bible in the quoted Bible verses have been retained but readers must be aware that these are words derived from tradition and not Scripture and only used due to copyright. However, when not used to reference a Bible verse, all proper names have been amended to their original (non-anglicized) names. It is belief that the true Name of the Almighty, Yahuah and of His Son Yahshua will be returned to their rightful glory (Psa. 22:22; Prov. 30:4; Heb. 2:12).
The word god is used to denote all the false deities. The use of names and titles of false deities, demons, powers, principalities and angels are not used in any way or form to praise or exalt them. All created beings should be referred to by impersonal pronouns (it, them). Only Yahuah `Elohiym (Father, Son and HaRuach) and Man (formed) are not created and should be referred to as He, he, she etc.
All Scripture verses are full or paraphrased (usually from the Hebrew Names Version). # refers to the Strong’s Number G(reek) or H(ebrew) and * to TWOT. For example Righteousness’#H6663 צָדַק tsadaq *1879 sadeq where the word tsadaq/sadeq is the transliteration or English approximation to the sounding of the Hebrew, Aramaic or Greek word.

All Scripture references have been kept to the anglicized for simplicity or where they have been taken from a direct quote.
However, I must stress that:
the pronunciation of Yahuah is a blessings and curses issue and not one of salvation.
All statements are my own beliefs arrived at by 30 years of studying the Word of Yahuah and commentaries of both the Bible and social conditions before and after the Master’s time on this earth, observations and the leading of the Set Apart Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh or HaRuach). The leading of HaRuach is infallible; my following is not. In all things, I give over to the leading of the Set Apart Spirit, our only perfect Teacher, and ask that you do not take anything I write (nor that of any man) without weighing carefully and with prayer against your own reading of the Word of Yahuah and leading of His Spirit. These beliefs are opinions and are meant to assist and not to command; they are not to act as doctrine. They are not exhaustive and are meant as a starting point for discussion/study.
It is intended that this study to be read alongside a Bible. In my opinion, there is no ‘best’ translation but this study utilises a literal translation version (Hebrew Names Version). Access to an Interlinear Bible or internet website (such as https;//www.biblehub.com) utilizing Part of Speech, Voice, Case, Number, Person Tense, Mood, Gender and Comparison would be of great benefit. Please note that there may be some slight differences in the verse notation due to the differing translations. All the Bible quotations are from www.blueletterbible.org unless otherwise stated. I recommend that no Bible verse to be taken in isolation but that in looking up the verses quoted below, its context is examined.
I welcome your feedback on this discussion. All the discussion notes are live documents and will be amended and updated as and when necessary.
All FGA Bible Discussion Notes are not subject to copyright and all readers are encouraged to download or print and to share them with others. All material is free but it is asked that the reader to include a link to this website and refrain from altering the text.
Book, internet, fair usage and copyright references are to be found at the end of the final section.
In using these references, it is in no way agreeing to or condoning the theological viewpoint of the authors. However, the historical, cultural, linguistic and academic scholarship of the authors is universally considered to be of the highest order.
