According to my calculations, we have now entered a Shimmitah Year (2026-7/5787).
Next year (2027-8/5788) will be a Yobel Year.
I am not saying ‘Thus says Yahuah…’, but I think 2028 will be a highly significant year.
“then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, from of old even forevermore.” (Jer. 7:7). This obviously took place (finally) in May 1948.
“Most assuredly I tell you, this generation will not pass away, until all these things are accomplished.” (Matt. 24:34). What is a generation?
“The days of our years are seventy, Or even by reason of strength eighty years; Yet their pride is but labour and sorrow, For it passes quickly, and we fly away.” (Psa. 90:10). If a generation was considered to be a lifetime, then 70 would be correct. However, can Yisra`el be considered as having strength? According to Yisra`eli Prime Minister Nettanyahu’s own words in his speech before the UN Assembly in Sept. 2026, Yisra`el has never been stronger in all their history. Therefore, its generation can be counted from the re-establishment of the nation in 1948, and 80 years on is 2028.
Again, if my calculations are correct, the Master was crucified at Pesakh 28 C.E., exactly 2000 years ago.
2000 = 40 x 50 = 40 Yobels.
The Yisra`elites were punished one year for every day the spies were in the Land and that they did not believe the words spoken to them by Y`hoshuah, son of Nun and thereby rejecting the provision of the Land by Yahuah (Num. 14:1-45). How much more then will they be punished for not believing Yahusha, Son of Yahuah and His provision of salvation through His Messiah.
“‘For I will be to Efrayim like a lion, And like a young lion to the house of Yehudah. I myself will tear in pieces and go away. I will carry off, and there will be no one to deliver. I will go and return to my place, until they acknowledge their offense, And seek my face. In their affliction they will seek me earnestly.’ Come, and let us return to Yahuah; For He has torn us to pieces, And He will heal us; He has injured us, And He will bind up our wounds. After two days will He revive us. On the third day He will raise us up, And we will live before Him. Let us acknowledge Yahuah. Let us press on to know Yahuah. As surely as the sun rises, Yahuah will appear. He will come to us like the rain, Like the spring rain that waters the earth.’” (Hos 5:14-6:3). This has been foretold by the prophet, that Yahuah, as the Lion of the House of Yehudah (Rev. 5:5) will leave His people until they cry out ‘Barukh haba b’shem Yahuah’ ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of Yahuah’.
“But do not forget this one thing, beloved, that one day is with Yahuah as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” (2 Peter 3:8).
Therefore, 2028 is one to watch!
